If you are interested in the Presiden’t opinion, Obama’s bracket for the 2010 NCAA Tournament is explained in detail below. He is going with a couple of upsets in the first round, mainly Murray State over Vanderbilt, Cornell over Temple, and Siena over Purdue. Remember that last year he did not do very well in the first round, but redeemed himself by having North Carolina cutting down the nets. If you think you can nail down the perfect bracket, check out the $13 million being offered by Sportsbook.com this March.
Let’s take a look at the rest of his bracket. He has Kentucky beating Texas, Wisconsin over Cornell, Marquette over New Mexico and then West Virginia over Missouri. Making the Elite 8 he believes will be Kentucky and West Virginia with the Wildcats earning the pass to Indianapolis.
In the South region he thinks it will be Duke over Louisville in a battle, then Texas A&M defeating Siena, Baylor over Notre Dame, and Villanova over St. Mary’s. He is taking the favorites to make the Elite 8 here to with both Duke and Villanova, but ‘Nova gets the upset over the Blue Devils to make it to Lucas Oil Stadium.
In the Midwest he is going with Kansas over UNI, Michigan State over Maryland, Georgetown over Tennessee, and Ohio State over Georgia Tech. He continues to roll with the Jayhawks in the Sweet 16 and then took the Hoyas over the Buckeyes. Remember he saw Georgetown put a beating down on Duke earlier this year, so he might be recalling this tea at their best. However, he doesn’t think Thompson’s squad will be able to overcome the experience of Kansas.
Out West it is Syracuse over Florida State, Butler over Murray State, Pitt over Xavier, and Kansas State making the Sweet 16. He thinks the Orange end Butler’s title drams and then Kansas State takes down Pitt before pulling the upset in the Elite 8 and beating Syracuse as well.
For his Final Four predictions he sees Kansas and Kentucky meeting up in the championship, with the Jayhawks coming out on top.
